Overview
CopyPouch Pocket respects your privacy.
The app handles local clips you save on the device and encrypted
synced history generated by CopyPouch when sync is enabled.
Information handled by the app
- Synced text clips from CopyPouch
- Local text clips saved by the user on this device
- Pinned state included in the synced history
- A locally available shared sync key from iCloud Keychain
- Locally cached encrypted sync data for offline fallback
How sync works in the current release
When Mac sync is enabled, the current release reads synced history
from the user's iCloud storage.
CopyPouch Pocket does not upload your clipboard history to a server
operated by the developer.
Local storage
Text saved from the New Clip screen is stored in the app's local storage on this device. You can delete all local clips from Settings.
The app may also keep an encrypted local cache of the latest synced payload so previously available content can still be shown when an update fails.
The shared sync key may be made available through iCloud Keychain so the synced history can be decrypted locally.
Clipboard access
When you tap a clip, CopyPouch Pocket copies that selected item back to the system clipboard on your device.
Data collection
CopyPouch Pocket does not require an account.
The current release does not include analytics SDKs, advertising
SDKs, or a developer-operated backend service.
